Story

Instead of presents, and only if you were thinking of getting me something, I'd love it if you could donate to this wonderful charity. Its small but mighty team works tirelessly to make sure that young people get home safely after a night out, by helping them to make safe choices about drugs and alcohol with evidence-based, non-judgemental workshops. The charity also provides PHSE materials and training for school staff, webinars for parents and carers and the I Love You Mum - I Promise I Won't Die verbatim play by Mark Wheeller to schools in Scotland, Northern Ireland, and various parts of England. The play tells the story of what happened to Dan in the words of his friends and family.

The Daniel Spargo-Mabbs Foundation is a drug and alcohol education charity that aims to support young people to make safe choices about drugs and alcohol and reduce harm. We do this through increasing understanding of the effects and risks, and helping to develop life skills and resilience. The Foundation was set up in January 2014 by Tim and Fiona Spargo-Mabbs in response to the death of their 16-year-old son Daniel having taken ecstasy.
